ISO/IEC 17020 is an internationally accepted standard for conformity assessment. This standard specifies the requirements for technical competence and impartiality of bodies performing inspection.

NATA

The National Association of Testing Authorities ‘NATA’ is Australia’s national accreditation body for ISO 17020 committed to providing the appropriate accreditation services to facilitate the acceptance of Australian products and services both within Australia and Internationally. They promote the science and practice of testing, inspection, calibration and related services for the benefit of Australia and trade and commerce.

Nata is a signatory to international accreditation agreements which provides mutual recognition for those accredited by NATA, reducing the need for multiple assessments in order to facilitate trade.
