Sponsorship

MAKING A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE IN THE COMMUNITY

Seacorp, a successful independent business operating in Western Australia, is committed to making a positive difference to the community.

Part of that commitment is witnessed in the broad range of community and sporting groups Seacorp assists.

Seacorp sponsorships support volley ball, softball, turf club and junior football clubs in Fremantle and remote towns in the north of Western Australia.

Seacorp’s most notable overseas sponsorship is that of the funding it provides to boost educational opportunities for a class of Zimbabwe school children whose lives have been affected by the AIDS virus.

The 30 children who have lost parents, grandparents and siblings to the disease attend the Nyamhunga Primary School in Harare.

Seacorp’s assistance funds the salaries of two teachers as well as school uniforms and books.

The coastal shipping service, which Seacorp provides under contract to the Western Australian Government, generates many economic and social benefits for the WA community.

The shipping service injects $3 million annually into the regions the Seacorp vessel, the Kimberley Rose calls at and boosts regional employment.

Part of Seacorp’s endeavours to give back to the coastal communities it serves have seen it assisting with transport of vital goods for not-for-profit organisations.

Seacorp came to the aid of the St John Ambulance’s sub centre in Kununurra when it shipped an ambulance from Fremantle to the North West port of Wyndham.

Without the aid of Seacorp, the non-profit organisation would have been forced to spend thousands of dollars to transport the ambulance from Perth to the remote community in Western Australia’s Kimberley region.
