Seacorp provides independent quality and quantity verification services to iron ore exporters discharging iron ore at ports in China.
Seacorp has an exclusive relationship with China Certification and Inspection Group (CCIC) which is the commercial arm of China Inspection and Quarantine (CIQ), the body responsible for undertaking all inspection and quarantine services for prescribed goods entering China. As iron ore is a prescribed import material in China it must be inspected by CIQ to determine the actual weight discharged, moisture content and chemical analysis. The cost of CIQ undertaking these services is paid for by the buyer and CIQ's final results are used to determine the final selling price between the seller and the buyer.
As a result of conditions during the voyage, there will often be discrepancies between load and discharge results. Our strong relationship with CCIC enables Seacorp to 'contest' CIQ's preliminary findings for weight and moisture on behalf of our clients to ensure that any discrepancy between load and discharge results is within normal limits. This includes witnessing and supervising the sampling of the cargo. In undertaking this role, Seacorp's experienced team of Chinese Master Mariners provide an extra layer of expertise to ensure that our clients obtain the best outcomes.
Seacorp is your full service shipping house, offering end-to-end shipping solutions that provide a seamless experience to our clients.
