General Manager Chartering – John Kelly

Seacorp’s General Manager of chartering, John Kelly, offers clients the benefits of almost two decades of experience in his field, having particular specialty in the areas of dry bulk chartering and operations.

Mr Kelly is among Seacorp’s founding staff members, having joined in 1999 as Operations Manager to manage the company’s ship agency division.

In 2000 Mr Kelly was awarded the position of heading up Seacorp’s chartering department – a role he employs to reduce clients’ freight costs and thereby enhance their competitive advantage.

Like other members of the Seacorp executive team Mr Kelly, who commenced his career as an office junior in the late eighties for Maritime Agencies Pty Ltd, has worked through the ranks to learn about many facets of the shipping industry.

Having spent seven years with Monson Agencies, Mr Kelly also has a deep understanding of all aspects of tramper shipping within a ship agency environment.
